Image Print Size Checker

Select a photo or image from your device and this tool reads its pixel dimensions locally to show the largest sharp print sizes at common DPI values. Nothing is uploaded.

Choose an image to see its print sizes.

How it works

The image is read entirely in your browser: width ÷ DPI gives the physical print width. A 6000 × 4000 px image prints at 20 × 13.3 in at 300 DPI, 30 × 20 in at 200 DPI, and 40 × 26.7 in at 150 DPI. Larger prints are possible at lower DPI but will look soft up close.

Frequently asked questions

Is my image uploaded to a server?

No. All processing happens in your browser with JavaScript. The file never leaves your device.

Why does my print service say my photo is too small?

Print services usually set a minimum DPI for each product. Compare their required pixel dimensions with the image size shown here; if your image has fewer pixels, lower the print size or DPI until it fits.
